Registration

(depends on selected options)

Base fee:
  • We want to address the unconscious, systemic racism that has resulted in a lack of diversity in EFT trainings in Pittsburgh and the EFT world. This rate is designed to encourage participation from people from underrepresented groups whose presence will enrich the training experience for everyone. This rate is available for anyone who fits the following criteria: Those who identify with an underrepresented group (ex: clinicians of color) and/or those who work with historically marginalized communities.
  • Members of the PghEFT Community

Join us for this 3 hour workshop highlighting the specific needs of couples where one or more of the partners is transgender or gender non-conforming. In this workshop we will be highlighting counseling competencies when working with trans* identified clients while also discussing specific biases or implications to watch out for as a clinician. We will discuss and show clinical examples of stages in the EFT Tango to help couples better express their feelings and attachment needs, so that they can connect more authentically.

Dr. Nick Summa has been working with LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families for the majority of his career, and he has focused his EFT training and clinical research on how to better advocate for and serve LGBTQ+ couples.

(We are working on the CE application currently - 3 CEs hopefully will be available for an additional $25 fee paid directly to the Greater Pittsburgh Psychological Association.)
